Brian is a man whose life has been defined by his obsessions. While other people might dabble in hobbies, Brian is the kind of person who becomes entirely consumed by them. Whenever something catches his attention, he is prone to finding out just how far he can go with it. Collecting, competitive video gaming and, most recently, cycling have all caught his attention. Each of these fixations has changed his life in significant ways.
Brian discovered his love of cycling after getting around the Google campus by bike. That feeling stayed with him as he returned home and purchased his first bicycle. In just one year’s time, he had begun racing competitively on both road and gravel, completed multiple century rides, toured across Oklahoma by bike and lost 120 pounds along the way.
This persistence has also shown itself in Brian’s career. After receiving a computer science degree from Oklahoma State University, he began his career at InterWorks. He began as a software developer, became a database administrator and moved onward through the ranks of the Business Intelligence Team, eventually becoming a principal consultant. Brian now spends most of his time at work assisting clients in understanding the ways InterWorks can help them better utilize the data their organization produces. That is, when he’s not daydreaming about his next race.
