Austin is a tenacious optimist that loves taking on new challenges. That spirit has led him around the world and allowed him to do some pretty interesting things. Like when he worked directly with leading global health institutions, such as the Gates Foundation and the University of Oxford, throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. He helped designed new metadata standards that gave researchers quicker access to crucial clinical trial data. That was pretty interesting.
Or like when he empowered the EU’s main climate innovation initiative to improve their community support through software. He built interactive visualizations and recommendation algorithms that guided curriculum to bring collaborators from completely different backgrounds together. That was also pretty interesting.
Or when he spent close to a decade as a member of the U.S. National Kayak Team. He represented the United States at five world championships throughout his career, even finishing in the top 20 at the U23 World Championships at his peak. That was pretty neat, and Austin can’t wait to see what other pretty cool opportunities await him at InterWorks.
