Karl Young
Data Architect
Born and raised in the Rocky Mountains, Karl has spent most of his life only a stone’s throw from the mountains; he currently lives at the foot of Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Studying math and computers at Stanford University, Karl met his wife Kim over the dorm piano. They are now the happily married parents of four grown children – a soprano, an alto, a tenor, and a bass. Karl loves music, particularly singing, and also enjoys hiking the nearby mountains, camping, fostering kittens and especially exploring family history.
Collecting data has been a theme throughout Karl’s life. He often kept the scorebook of his children’s baseball and softball games, compiling statistics and game summaries from T-Ball to High School. Likewise, his passion for family history has him collecting stories, songs and names from many past generations, and volunteering to help others do the same.
Working as a data architect gives Karl the opportunity to continue the theme of working with data. After decades at Apple Computer and in the finance industry, InterWorks provides the ideal environment for him to help others to conquer their own data mountains.
