Darinka Markovic
Analytics Consultant
Darinka grew up between Bosnia and Serbia, two vibrant countries at the crossroads of Europe, and has always been interested in foreign cultures and international relations. This prompted her to study English as a means of connecting her to the many worlds beyond her own. Always ready to embrace a challenge, she decided to leave home and her comfort zone to study abroad in Austria, Germany and Australia. After obtaining her master’s in globalization and postcolonial studies, she entered the colorful and diverse startup scene in Berlin to explore her other great passion: technology. She is a strong believer that technology is here to improve everyone’s lives.

Driven by her endless curiosity, Darinka’s excitement and new ideas have led her to many jobs and industries. Prior to joining InterWorks, she kept her inquisitive mind stimulated as a university researcher at the intersection of academia, public policy and international cooperation. While compiling research reports and setting recommendations for different organizations and decision-makers, she discovered that real insights emerge from the enclosing leaves of data. Ever since, she’s been a happy explorer of the data jungle and aims to guide others to meaningful solutions.

After work, you'll find Darinka concocting exotic (read: chaotic) creations in the kitchen, reverse-engineering calories in a spin class or walking around Berlin with a good audiobook. If she is gone AWOL for a while, it likely means she’s busy with one of these things: a) playing retro video games, b) blasting funk music or c) indulging in the guilty pleasure of camp and B-movies.
