Originally from Pawnee, Oklahoma, August Howell has bounced between the Sooner and Lone Star states but now proudly calls Stillwater home. He’s a devoted husband, dad of two (with a third on the way), and the proud owner of a classic 1986 Toyota Pickup — affectionately known as his “fourth child.”

Outside of work, August is all about the outdoors. Whether it’s hiking, fishing, foraging, hunting, or gardening, he’s happiest under the open sky. He’s also a self-proclaimed “audiobibliophile,” with an audiobook library that spans everything from history and science to fantasy, LitRPG, and the classics.
