Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Matt has loved adventure from a young age. Growing up, he enjoyed exploring his family’s heavily wooded farm, playing soccer, basketball, football and taking family vacations—especially skiing in Colorado. Armed with his high school diploma, he moved to Boulder in hopes of living it up on the slopes (and attending the University of Colorado).
After six years, too few ski trips, a BA in economics and an MS in telecommunications, he joined a .com bubble company with the noble dream of bringing database interfaces to the masses. However, once that bubble burst, Matt moved back to Tulsa to marry a girl he’d missed since high school.
Two decades, four kids, tons of adventures and several pounds of titanium implants later, Matt’s time now consists of hanging with his family, playing video games and still exploring his family’s farm. His other interests sound a bit like a sci-fi novel: having serendipitous encounters with strangers at nearby gas stations, warding off scary visions of previous tenants who met their untimely deaths in his home ... but those details are best explained in person.
