Originally from Fort Worth, TX and now living in Austin, TX, Vu went to Texas A&M University for a degree in electrical engineering. Vu spent his first few years out of college working on missiles with Raytheon in Tucson, AZ. Ultimately, Vu decided to move away from the defense sector and a career focused on hardware in general, and instead pivoted to software and data as he got inspired by working alongside software engineers in the lab.

If it isn’t apparent already by where Vu has lived, he really enjoys the heat. Vu loves camping, hiking, and backpacking. He spent a month living out of a van in Australia and New Zealand. While there, Vu explored everything from kangaroo and koala sanctuaries to a remote lake at the top of a mountain and even walked the path to Mount Doom.

Vu also loves spending time with his dog, Bluberry. He’s a white husky/pit bull/German mix. Bluberry came from the foster system with a lot of baggage, but after offering him lots of love and training, people have come to learn his big heart outweighs his immense anxiety. In his limited spare time, Vu enjoys following financial markets and working on DIY projects, anything from home improvement to fixing an old Honda Hawk GT NT650.
