Chris has always enjoyed learning and playing with new technologies, ranging from after-school web-design classes to hosting his own gaming servers for his friendship group. Late night gaming became late night coding, and so began Chris’ constant journey to iterate and
improve existing processes. Chris admits that there might still be some gaming in the mix today, too.

Armed with a First Class Masters in Mathematics from the University of Manchester, Chris began engineering data in 2014 within the healthcare industry. His passion is not only to personally provide elegant and simple solutions to complex problems but also to provide others with the
knowledge and tools to do this themselves. Continuing this trend at InterWorks since 2017, Chris has further developed his skills and shifted focus evermore towards process automation and backend development, from initial data sourcing through to cloud data warehousing and
preparing data for analysis, whilst exploring the wider data ecosystem and how data can be managed effectively at scale. Chris is also a strong believer that Data Governance is essential for Data Quality, Compliance, Security, Efficiency, and Trust. It is a key and necessary step for building effective an Data Strategy.

Among other accolades, Chris has been a Snowflake Data Superhero since 2020 and a SnowPro Subject Matter Expert since 2020, authoring many blogs, speaking at conferences, sharing information whenever he can and often even mumbling about Snowflake in his sleep.
