Winson Tan
Data Engineer
From an early age, Winson has had an inclination towards puzzles and logic games. Influenced by his brother and band of boy cousins, Winson was drawn into a world of games and logic - devoting a large portion of his teenage years to playing chess and PC strategy games. It’s on surprise, then, that he made the short jump from solving challenges in games to solving them in data.

After completing his commerce degree at the University of Melbourne, Winson started his career as a consultant at PwC where he began developing his interest in technology and data. Through the guidance of his mentors, he traveled deeper into the world of data, ultimately pursuing a postgraduate degree in analytics at Arizona State University in Phoenix, Arizona.

Energised by his newfound skills in data, he worked in various data analytics and technology roles in the U.S. and Australia before finding his base in Melbourne, where he now builds and cares for data pipelines as an engineer in InterWorks' APAC data practice.

In his free time, Winson likes to practice the gentle art of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and exploring the graffitied walls of Melbourne on his longboard. He is also a huge foodie who finds great joy in travelling and experiencing the world through food.
