Lindsey is a born-and-raised Okie from Muskogee, Oklahoma. Her first experience with computers was her dad teaching her basic MS-DOS commands to navigate and play games. Since then, she’s been obsessed with technology and gaming, even building web pages for herself and her friends in her spare time.
After starting a major in chemistry at Northeastern State University, Lindsey went in search of bluer skies (literally) and transferred to the University of Hawaii at Hilo to get her degree in Japanese. She was offered an IT job in Japan shortly after graduation and learned coding, networking and server/system administration in Okinawa and Tokyo over the next five years.
Upon returning to the US, Lindsey continued her adventures in IT, doing everything from education and government IT support in Oklahoma to building an internal IT department in a Hawaiian hospital before settling down back home and at InterWorks.
Outside of work, Lindsey enjoys hiking—a hobby she picked up during her time in Japan that peaked on the summit of Mt. Fuji. She also enjoys traveling, playing video games, solving puzzles and reading sci-fi and mystery novels.
