Andrea has been consumed by a voracious appetite for words as long as she can remember. As a child, her mother would take her to their neighborhood Tulsa library where she would promptly check out a tall stack of books and have one finished by the time they reached home. She kept a detailed journal and wrote myriad short stories, including her fifth-grade magnum opus, “Cartoon Chaos.”
While attending Oklahoma State University, Andrea continued to pursue her love of language, double majoring in English and Spanish, with her nose constantly buried in novels or working on essays. She strengthened her Spanish language skills on travels to Honduras, Guatemala and during a summer stint living in Peru. Upon graduation, she worked as an English teacher for five years before coming to InterWorks to keep fighting the good fight against incorrect grammar and typos.
When she’s not at work, she can be found riding her bike around town, making homemade pasta with her husband, going on runs with her German shepherd or poring over one of the many books she reads simultaneously. She loves collecting new knowledge to drop at the perfect moment and never tires of learning.
