Nelson grew up in New Jersey for most of his childhood before moving to Washington, D.C. to attend George Washington University. After receiving his bachelor’s in biology, he did consulting work in the public sector. After wearing multiple hats as a general management consultant, he was drawn to a strategic discipline and planning for the future. It wasn’t long until he realized that data and strategy were the perfect marriage. He then focused his attention on analytics to best position himself in the future for a career in strategic consulting.
When Nelson is not pursuing his consulting goals, you can usually find him face-deep in his latest culinary creation. As a massive foodie and self-taught chef, food has always made him feel at home. He loves food so much, he almost started a restaurant with a friend two years ago. He continues to challenge himself with new dishes and by learning new recipes through experimentation. He applies this approach to the office as well by experimenting and finding the best recipes in his professional work.
