Until he stumbled upon the field of data analytics, Michael truly thought there would never be a satisfactory way to combine his mathematical background and an applicable career that he would enjoy. Michael spent seven years working for the railroad as a train conductor and critical-incident manager. During this time, he was a full-time student working on a degree in mathematics.
He became interested in analytics while studying two-sided matching problems, which serve as models to optimize market interactions. After completing his undergraduate degree, Michael earned a master’s in business analytics at Louisiana State University.
When Michael’s eyes need rest from a computer screen, he can be found running the University Lake, lifting in the recreation center or playing trivia at the local haunt. Winter is dedicated to snowboarding and Houston Texans football. Though his formal education is complete, Michael’s goal is to forever be a student of the ever-changing analytics landscape by meeting and exceeding client demands.
