Originally from Bengaluru, India, Carol worked as a data analyst for two years in India before deciding to travel abroad to pursue a Master of Data Science degree at Monash University, Melbourne. One of the motivations that prompted her to take up data science was to use predictive analytics in improving mental health through personalized care. While completing her degree, she fell in love with visual analytics through Python and Tableau and saw the first signs of her career progression. The value she saw in storytelling brought her to InterWorks where she soon joined as an Analytics Consultant.

However, a deep passion for music predates even Carol’s love of storytelling through data. This love of music took hold at a young age when she was introduced to Western classical vocal lessons. She went on to perform with various choirs and a cappella groups during her college years and recently has taken an interest in playing the piano. Carol is a strong believer in the art of active listening, finds purpose in helping others through tech and craves new experiences, especially those involving food or travel.
