A self-described problem-solver, Colin has found his preferred toolset in information technology. Growing up in New Jersey, Colin spent much of his time tweaking settings on computers for a more efficient experience, thoroughly annoying the computers' owners.
After earning a black belt in mixed martial arts and graduating high school, Colin moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where he studied information science and trained as a member of the UNC boxing team. Particularly fascinated by his database-theory and user-experience classes, Colin pursued work in the latter but took a software quality assurance internship at a local start-up after graduation.
Colin loved the fast-paced environment and the opportunities for new skill development, wearing multiple hats and eventually becoming Chief Technology Officer. He first learned of InterWorks during some Tableau and Alteryx training, and the team's professionalism and excellence stayed with Colin, prompting him to seek a position with the company after moving to Austin, Texas. Now a data architect at InterWorks, Colin is eager to solve data-design and implementation challenges for clients.
Outside of work, Colin enjoys learning new skills, discovering new technologies and, of course, tweaking settings on computers, now with permission from the owners.
