Originally from Manila, Philippines, Mendelsohn is a serious traveler who has backpacked across Southeast Asia, traveled through 7 countries in Europe, and visited over 20 cities in the United States (his favorite so far is NYC). His next adventure? He’s looking forward to bringing his unique experiences and knowledge to the InterWorks Asia Pacific team as a Solutions Lead.
A die-hard basketball fan and stats geek, Mendelsohn’s passion for sports analytics ultimately led him to pursue a career in data and analytics consulting. He decided to embark on this exciting journey many years ago after watching Moneyball, an inspiring movie about how the Oakland Athletics baseball team used data-driven analysis to win games, despite having a small budget.
When he’s not developing ETL pipelines or designing dashboards, Mendelsohn—a self-proclaimed coffee snob—likes to spend his time exploring third-wave, independent coffee shops while reading a good book. His favorite authors include Yuval Noah Harari, Dan Ariely and Malcolm Gladwell.
