Monthly blog roundups recap all the content on the blog for each month. These posts provide an easy way to skim through content that interests you.
Happy holidays, loyal readers! I thought about lacing this whole intro with subtle references to common holiday season slogans (“It’s the most wonderful time of the year, isn’t it?” for reference), but I figured that might be a bit too cliche. I’ll spare you.
This year…
Anyways, we here at InterWorks are slowly winding down for the end of the year. A lot of our effort is going into planning for projects, campaigns and pushes for the upcoming year. We didn’t want to leave you hanging, though! We’ve got a few blog posts here for your perusal. Perhaps as a sign of the changing of the seasons, Snowflake takes the cake with the most blog posts this past month.
And don’t worry, I’ll still hit you with a few music recommendations for this month, pulled from a pool of coworker’s recommendations of the songs that rocked their world this month. Hope you enjoy!
Obligatory Music Recommendations
Jessica Welch, Sales Operations Specialist (and the self-proclaimed biggest fan of my monthly roundup series), recommends “Honey” by Raveena. It’s a mellow, sweet, velvety soft song that, had it been the first piece of music I had ever heard, would ruin any other songs I heard after. Fantastic recommendation:
Justin Lyons, Curator Engineer, is repping the family-friendly bangers with Anna Kendrick’s “Get Back Up Again” from the Trolls soundtrack. I honestly had no idea Anna Kendirck was in Trolls, but she’s putting her pipes to work on this one:
Emily Miley, Analytics Consultant, threw in Jacob Collier’s “Make Me Cry.” I’m always a sucker for a soft singing baritone, and this one delivers. Soft, deep, and paradoxically with both a melancholy and joyful soul, this one’s good vibes all around:
Kirsten Hoffman, Global BI Ops Manager, shared “Use Somebody,” as covered by Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox ft. Rogelio Douglas, Jr. Originally by Kings of Leon, this one’s going to sound a bit familiar. If you’re acquainted with Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox, you’ll know that this one has a classy big band twist that would make it a joy to listen to in a smoky bar, late at night:
Finally, to round us out, I’m sharing one that’s a bit different. “Hardest to Be” by P.T. Adamczyk and Sora Lion comes off the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty soundtrack. No spoilers, but this rock/country mix is from a unique moment in the story, and is honestly just a good listen all around. This one’s for dancing, alone or with a friend, whether you know what you’re doing or not:
