Monthly blog roundups recap all the content on the blog for each month. These posts provide an easy way to skim through content that interests you.
This blog post is Human-Centered Content: Written by humans for humans.
It’s officially autumn around the InterWorks headquarters! The days grow shorter, the weather cooler and the leaves more colorful around our neck of the woods. You’ll hear no complaints from us on that front. Nor will you hear any complaints from us about our blog content this past month! (Not my best segue, but they can’t all be bangers.)
A lot of very technical pieces gracing the front page of our blog this month, but we made sure to include some more fun ones in the mix. Hopefully, you find something you enjoy below! But first, the tunes that I’ve been blaring all September long.
I Wish I Could Say I Lost a Bet
But I didn’t. I rewatched the entire “Twilight” series with a friend over the course of September. And you know what? I get it now. If you do not take the movies seriously at all, they’re in the running for one of the best movie series ever made. They may even be some of the most unintentionally hilarious movies ever made. But one thing’s for sure: They gave rise to some absolutely banger tie in songs. Three in particular really stuck in my rotation in September.
First: “Decode” by Paramore. Admittedly, I forgot this was a “Twilight” tie in song until my friend reminded me. It just hits so good, and instantly went into my gym rotation:
Now, this next one will not be a surprise to anyone with a general sense of my music taste. Bon Iver and St. Vincent’s “Rosyln” has been getting absolutely played to death as the weather changes. One listen and you’ll known why. I’m already predisposed to loving anything Bon Iver’s ever made, and this just hit at the perfect moment for me:
Lastly, you might know this one as the “Hoa hoa hoa hoa hoa” song, depending on what circles you run in. I’ve actually had this one my playlists for years before I realized where it got popular. Tale as old as time. “Eyes on Fire” by Blue Foundation joins “Rosyln” as an autumn-coded track for me to usher in the new season:
And man, just going through the list of songs used in the series, there are tons of other tracks that are incredibly recognizable. Super impressive, honestly. If you’ve been looking for a sign to rewatch the series, even as a bit, this is it. But, if you’re looking for a list of all the blogs we’ve put out in September (I say, adding another incredible segue to my repertoire), look no further. Hope you find something that tickles your fancy!
