Please note that Portals for Tableau are now officially known as Curator by InterWorks. You can learn more at the official Curator website.
AI artifact hosting in Curator is available now.
If you’ve been using generative AI lately, you’ve probably noticed something: the output is really good. Whether it’s Claude, ChatGPT, or another platform, the interactive artifacts these tools generate are slick, functional, and genuinely useful. Charts that respond to your clicks. Presentations with embedded video. Dashboards you can actually interact with.
But here’s the problem most organizations run into: you create these amazing artifacts, and then what? You share a link from your personal account. You email an HTML file. And suddenly, if you want to update it, you’re managing versions in your inbox, re-sharing links, and hoping people open the latest version. It’s friction where there shouldn’t be any.
That’s the gap we’re addressing today.
Demo: Host AI Artifacts in Curator
The Problem Is Bigger Than It Looks
Data teams and analytics leaders are increasingly turning to AI to create interactive content. Marketing teams are using it to build presentations. Product teams are generating dashboards. These aren’t one-off experiments anymore. They’re becoming part of how work gets done.
But most organizations don’t have a place to actually host these artifacts. They end up scattered across personal accounts, email threads, and shared drives. There’s no version control. No way to grant specific access to specific people. No central place where the team knows to look.
At the same time, if you’ve invested in Curator to be your unified analytics portal, it’s where your Sigma AI apps live. Where your Tableau dashboards are organized. Where your Power BI reports reside. Where your team goes to find what they need.
What if that same portal could be home for your AI artifacts too?
Introducing AI Artifact Hosting in Curator
Starting today, Curator customers can upload HTML files directly to their portal. These can be Claude artifacts, interactive presentations, custom dashboards, or any other HTML-based content. Once uploaded, they’re embedded seamlessly in your Curator portal alongside your existing analytics.
Here’s what that means in practice:
- Create an interactive presentation in Claude
- Upload the HTML file to your Curator content library
- Give it a title, add it to your navigation if you want, and create the page
- Curator stores it, embeds it, and creates a persistent link
Then you share that link with your team. The experience is exactly what they’d get on your laptop. All the interactivity works. All the functionality is there. But now it’s managed centrally, versioned, and accessible from wherever Curator already lives in your organization.
No New Costs. Same Platform.
This isn’t a separate tool. This isn’t an add-on subscription. This is Curator doing what it was built to do: centralizing your content in one place.
If you’re already a Curator customer, this capability is available to you now. No additional costs. No special setup. The infrastructure is already there.
Why This Matters for Data Teams
Analytics teams often find themselves in the role of content creators. You’re building dashboards, yes, but you’re also creating ad-hoc analyses, interactive reports, and one-off explorations that need to be shared with stakeholders.
AI-generated artifacts fit naturally into that workflow. A data analyst using Claude can create an interactive data visualization or a formatted report in minutes. Instead of exporting to PowerPoint or PDF, they can upload the HTML directly to Curator, making it available to the people who need it.
The same governance that protects your Tableau dashboards (role-based access, audit trails, permission controls) now applies to your AI artifacts too.
A Concrete Example
One of our clients was managing AI artifacts scattered across personal Claude accounts. When they needed to share updated versions, they were emailing HTML files and managing manual updates. It was working, but it was slow.
Now they upload their Claude artifacts to Curator. Their team has a single entry point. Access is controlled. Updates happen in one place. Everyone’s working from the same version.
It’s the same unified experience Curator was built for, just expanded to the kind of content organizations are actually creating today.
How to Get Started
If you’re a Curator customer, you can start using this capability immediately. Your admin can navigate to Content, then Pages, and you’ll see the new “upload HTML” option.
If you want to see it in action, we’ve got a video demo that walks through the entire process.
Here’s what you need to know: This is available today. It’s included in your existing Curator investment. And it’s designed for the way organizations are actually using AI right now.
