If you’re in the northern hemisphere, I’m pretty sure you know how I’m gonna open this monthly roundup: It’s hot. We’re right in the thick of the dog days of summer (and you know I’ll be blasting Florence + The Machine when they’re over.) My rinky dink apartment AC is struggling to keep up with the 107 degree Fahrenheit (~41 degrees Celsius) temperature outside, and the fact that all of my windows face south, right into the sun, does not help.
All right, enough of my complaining. I’ll sweat on my own time. We’ve got a few blog posts and updates to share this month, but we tried to be more reflective as we started the second half of the year. We wound down blog production in favor of analyzing our production methods, the tools we use and the philosophy we have when making content. We made good strides, and you’ll see us ramp up back to our normal production levels in the months to come, hopefully better for it!

If you’re a fan of the blog roundups, you know how I’m going to end this one.
Anyways, time to subvert some expectations! I’m coming at you live with some music recommendations to help you beat the summer heat. Check ’em out!
Hit Me Just a Little by Tino Drima has that perfect instrumental for laying out in the sun, soaking in that sweet, sweet vitamin D:
Give Up Baby Go by Peach Pit has that early morning walk through the park to beat the heat later in the day type vibes:
Dial Drunk by Noah Kahan and Post Malone is my go to feel-good song at the moment. Just don’t pay too close attention to the lyrics if you want to keep that feel-good vibe:
C’est La Vie by NOVELISTS and Bliss Sigh evokes memories of a late night drive, windows down, screaming lyrics into the wind:
And, finally, Show You Something by buffchick will have you looking for a partner to dance the night away with:
That’s it for this month’s roundup! Hope you don’t mind us trying something new with this one. See you next month!
