Monthly blog roundups recap all the content on the blog for each month. These posts provide an easy way to skim through content that interests you.
In the newsletter I usually send out at the end of the month for the blog (which you can subscribe to via the banner at the bottom of the page), I filled the intro with Halloween-themed puns that, quite frankly, were frighteningly spooktacular. I will not, however, be subjecting the readership of this blog to that fate. That’d be horrifying, to be honest.
October was a shorter month for blogs, but don’t let a lack of quantity fool you, the quality was as good as it’s ever been. First, though, let me share what I’ve been listening to this month.
Gotcha Covered
It’s no secret that American Football’s self titled LP from 1999 is one of my favorite albums of all time. For the 25th anniversary, they released both a remastered anniversary edition of the original recordings from back in the day and a covers album with the likes of Iron & Wine, Novo Amor, Ethel Cain and Manchester Orchestra performing on it. I wanted to share the latter album, because it is the perfect rainy-day autumn vibe in our home state of Oklahoma:
