Question: I’m trying to use a sheet swap toggle between two chart types, but in the layout container, the sheet is keeping space and not minimizing to the bottom of the screen.
Based on the issue and the behavior Tableau was showing, my first assumption was that a fixed height had been selected on the pie chart, since the pie chart wouldn’t minimize correctly, but the butterfly chart would. Upon examination, though, this was not the case, and both charts were set up correctly within the layout container:
Here’s where this Advance with Assist trick comes into play. When there is no header in columns of rows, the sheet toggle trick cannot complete correctly. By adding a dummy header to the pie-chart view, we are able to then get the behavior we’re wanting:
I unselected Show Header for the process below. So, even though it looks the same as before, it now minimizes correctly:
