Since I’ve joined InterWorks, I have never suffered from boredom. If I should choose one word that describes my work the best, it would be excitement. Passion, natural curiosity and eagerness to create the best available solution is evident in everything we do.
Working with the Best Clients
Our clients truly are what makes our work the best. I get to meet so many smart and interesting people, and I get to do something I love. It doesn’t matter if it’s a short Assist call where I’m answering ad hoc questions, a training session where I’m showing tips and tricks or a long-term engagement where I’m helping to build an internal Tableau community—every single day is exciting.
Working with the Best People
As a global company, communication and efficiency are paramount. We rely upon applications like Slack daily to stay connected. Different time zones aren’t an issue as there is almost always somebody online who’s ready to help you with your questions. Plus, chances are high that someone else has already solved it, and by posting the question, other colleagues can learn as well. On the flip side, it is always rewarding when you can help a coworker. Solving puzzles is more fun when done together!
We also stay connected through strategic or topic-related virtual meetings. For instance, it may be a lab-training call where we share our best practices on how to deliver best Tableau and Alteryx trainings or a bev-bash call where we have informal conversations about our hobbies, share travel tips and play trivia, so we still feel connected even when we are thousands of mile from one another.

Working for Professional Development
One of the things I appreciate about InterWorks is that investing in professional development is encouraged and prioritized. Once you choose what you’re interested in or what you want to achieve, you will get plenty of support from colleagues and leadership alike. There are also valuable internal resources at your disposal. For example, it could be learning Python or R (or any other programming language you’re interested in), improving your Tableau skills or becoming Tableau certified. Same goes for Alteryx, Snowflake, Dataiku and so on.
Furthermore, there are several conferences happening every year in which you can participate in a variety of capacities. These conferences are great places to meet other people from the data community and exchange knowledge, learn and have a fabulous time. In case you cannot attend, you can be sure one of your colleagues will share a summary on the blog or in a podcast episode, so it feels like you were actually there yourself. Working with the Best Teams
My favourite things are our regular team meetings and yearly company Summit. These are great moments to reflect on the previous months, brainstorm together on ideas and projects and spend time with fellow InterWorkers. These events are a great mix of work and fun. During work-related sessions, we do presentations, discussions, hackathons or learn new tools and features together. For non-working fun, we do things like climbing, bicycle tours, scavenger hunts, escaping crystal mazes and carting races.
