On May 22, 2026, InterWorks was honoured to be featured on The Sunday Times’ “195 best small places to work 2026” list. This is a list compiled through employee feedback, focusing on benefits, culture and mission. We sat down with Employee Experience Coordinator Megan Skeats to learn more about the award and what it means to our UK office.
“What this award means to you?”
Being named one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work is genuinely one of the things I’m most proud of. This isn’t a vanity award — it’s based on real employee feedback, which makes it mean so much more. It’s validation that the culture we’ve all invested in isn’t just something we talk about internally. This is something people actually feel every day.
“What have we actually done to earn this recognition?”
We’ve been intentional about building a workplace that supports the whole person, not just the professional. That means competitive pay, private health insurance, up to £1,000 a year for wellness, flexible working built on trust rather than policy, and things like our Electric Vehicle scheme and Life Balance benefit. But beyond the benefits package, it’s the culture — low bureaucracy, high trust, genuine kindness — that I think sets us apart.
“What are the parts of InterWorks culture that make us one of the best places to work, in your opinion?”
It comes back to our three pillars: Relationships, Service and Excellence. We’ve built a place where people can genuinely be themselves, where feedback is taken seriously and acted on, and where community matters — whether that’s IW Gives Back, our annual EMEA Global Summit or just the way we show up for each other day to day.
Is there anything work-related you want to mention specifically?
I’d want to call out our people. Awards like this don’t happen because of a benefits spreadsheet — they happen because of the individuals who bring the culture to life. Every person at InterWorks has contributed to this.
Do you have a personal note you’d like to add?
On a personal level, a lot of companies claim to have great culture — but InterWorks actually stands behind it. Putting people first isn’t just something that gets said here. It’s something you genuinely feel every day. And what strikes me is how that translates directly into performance — when people feel supported, they want to do great work. I’ve never worked somewhere where I feel so consistently backed. I think it starts at the top. The leadership team are genuinely good, kind people — and that sets the tone for everything that filters down. I’ve always been encouraged to bring ideas to the table, ask questions, and challenge the status quo, and management always have time for you. That kind of environment is rarer than it should be, and it’s a big part of why this award means so much.
We also asked CEO Behfar Jahanshahi for his thoughts on InterWorks featuring on The Sunday Times’ list:
I’m immensely proud of the work that our whole EMEA team has done over the years. The dedication, hard work and sense of community the team has fostered is nothing short of inspiring, and we’re honored to be recognized for it by The Sunday Times.
Congratulations again to our UK office on achieving such a high honour. If you’d like to work with our award-winning UK office, or with any office around the globe, feel free to reach out and see what we can do for you.
