It’s officially award season, both in the film industry and for technology consulting partners like InterWorks. On Friday, March 8, our friends and partners at Matillion announced that the InterWorks team won four of their Emerald Partner Network Awards for 2024:

• Matillion APAC Partner of the Year
• Matillion Customer Obsessed Award
• Matillion Partner Champion: Paul Middlewick
• Matillion Partner Champion: Chris Hastie

We’re incredibly honored to have both InterWorks as a whole and our individual Matillion Partner Champions Paul and Chris recognized for their contributions to the data world. Below, we elaborate a little more on what these awards mean for our relationship with Matillion across the globe.

Matillion and InteWorks in APAC

Zooming in the APAC side of our business first, we’ve seen Matillion turn a lot of heads in Australia and beyond. Businesses across the region are taking a closer look at data transformation and ELT, and we’ve seen Matillion provide immense value within their data stacks. For more insight on Matillion’s popularity in APAC, as well as our relationship with them, I turned to Robert Curtis:

Matillion and InterWorks in EMEA

Oceania isn’t the place where Matillion is a big deal. We’ve seen several customers across the UK and Europe use Matillion to make a sizeable impact on their ELT efforts. I caught up with another familiar face, Chris Hastie, to ask about the special partnership between Matillion and InterWorks in EMEA, as well as his newly-acquired personal award:

“I’ve worked with Matillion for several years now, and it’s been a great experience. The tool fills a gap in the market that I’ve not seen tackled to the same quality elsewhere — bringing orchestration and transformation together in a visual interface for cloud data platforms.

Over the years, I’ve made quite a few contributions to the Ideas Portal, and I’ve been really impressed with the number of these ideas that were implemented into the product quickly and reliably, including dialogue back and forth to clarify any points. This is a great example of Matillion’s attitude towards working collaboratively with customers, and it’s just a single example. Together, InterWorks and Matillion have helped many customers solve their data ingestion and transformation challenges, and I look forward to this partnership continuing to evolve.
