And we don’t want anyone in the data community to potentially miss an event taking place in their city! So, here’s everywhere we went and what we spoke about in August. Tableau Takeover

Tableau Days

August 2-3 – San Antonio and Austin, Texas

We kicked off August with two back-to-back Tableau events in the Lone Star state. For Tableau Days, it’s all about Tableau best practices and learning how people in the Public Sector utilize data visualization tools. Tableau Sales Consultant, Anthony Young, analyzed Texas’ Government IT spending trends and InterWorks veteran, Dan Murray, closed out the day with a talk on driving user adoption with Tableau.

Tableau Data Day Out

August 9 – Melbourne, Australia

Fun fact: InterWorks is actively involved in the data community down under! Our resident consultant in Australia, Robert Curtis, and our Global BI Practice Director, James Wright, proudly represented InterWorks at this year’s Tableau conference in Melbourne. The event brings together over 1,000 Tableau users from all over Australia and New Zealand with breakout sessions catered to every level of Tableau experience.

Driving User Adoption with Tableau

August 22 – Washington, D.C.

This DC event was a live demonstration and discussion on all things BI. Attendees were able to learn from other companies and their history with Tableau. This is an ongoing event series where people are able to have their questions answered directly from those in the data community who are familiar with Tableau. Whether you’re a veteran Tableau user who has been through the data journey or if you’re just starting out, these workshops can help you along your way. 

Free Tableau Workshop

August 24 – London, U.K.

Who doesn’t love free stuff, especially when it comes to Tableau? With these free hands-on workshops, it’s our hope people and organizations learn how easy the functionality of the software is. After attending one of these sessions, you’ll be able to build a dashboard on your own in no time!

Tableau Fringe Festival

August 25 – Virtual Conference

The second annual Tableau Fringe Festival APAC edition included InterWorks’ own Robert Curtis. He recently published a Deep Dive series on dashboard design and essentially boiled down hours of training into a one-hour presentation! Read through the presentation recap on our blog to start optimizing your design skills.

Leveraging Tableau for Embedded Analytics

August 30 – Stamford, Connecticut

This event launched our new series addressing how to use Tableau for embedded analytics. We’ve teamed up with Tableau to travel the New England area and teach other data enthusiasts how to build in-house self-service analytics. Alteryx Fundamentals for Analysts 

August 18 – NYC, New York

Start spreading the news, we launched the Alteryx Fundamentals for Analysts in the concrete jungle last month. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be touring the northeast to teach fellow analysts how to ingest, clean, blend and transform their data with Alteryx. D+I+Y Data, Insight, You! 

August 8 –  London, United Kingdom

D+I+Y is our latest event series taking place across the pond. It’s the perfect setting for those in the UK data community to come together, ask questions, gain visual analytics insight and network. Our inaugural D+I+Y night took place in London and the next one will take place soon in the Manchester region. So, be on the look out for that!
