InterWorks Earns Two Tableau Partner of the Year Awards for 2018

This past week, Tableau hosted channel and technology partners at their headquarters in Seattle, Washington, for their annual Partner Executive Kick-Off. This event serves as an excellent opportunity to discuss the successes of the previous year and plan for the coming year. Being a Tableau Gold Partner, you know we were in attendance. Another big part of the event includes recognition of top-performing partners through a series of awards. We’re proud to share that InterWorks took home two of these awards: Reseller Partner of the Year and Innovative Solution!

“As we look back on 2018, we see one of the best years yet for Tableau and InterWorks. We’ve been partners for over 10 years, and it just continues to grow. These awards are a reminder of what’s possible when we work hard towards a common goal.”
Behfar Jahanshahi, CEO, InterWorks

Reseller Partner of the Year, Americas

At first glance, this may seem like an award given to the partner that “sold the most Tableau.” The truth is that the definition of “reseller,” as seen by Tableau and InterWorks, is a partner that not only introduces new people to Tableau but does so in a meaningful way. This means adding value via quality consulting, training, custom development and beyond.

“When we ask clients why they select InterWorks for their Tableau needs, the responses we get almost always boil down to our mix of solutions, expertise and care. The work we do for them isn’t about revenue or embedding ourselves in their business indefinitely; it’s about achieving positive outcomes.”
–  James Wright, Global BI Practice Director, InterWorks

Another consideration for the award is broader community involvement. Last year, we took that initiative to new heights, delivering over 40 field events, webinars and customer workshops—all designed to take our customers’ success to the next level.

Innovative Solution, Americas

This was a new category among Tableau’s partner awards, focused on solutions that solve business problems. When it came to integrating Tableau dashboards, our embedded analytics platform, Portals for Tableau, truly stood out. Portals allow users to discover and interact with Tableau dashboards through a responsive mobile and web interface. Portals are vital for organizations needing to coalesce multiple internal solutions, impress a VIP user base or bring data to customers in the field. With over 100 deployments around the world last year, it’s clear the solution was a hit with clients in every industry.

“We’ve been implementing Portals among our clients for a few years now, but 2018 was a landmark year for new functionality and extensibility. Our team works hard to build in useful features, and it’s great to hear how those features have boosted user adoption.”
Derrick Austin, Integration Practice Lead, InterWorks

A Springboard for 2019

We plan on fully enjoying our 2018 Tableau honors for a bit, but we’re already looking at how we’re going to make 2019 an even more impactful year for our clients. Expect new solutions, new connections and our continued dedication to excellence. This is an effort that involves all our people around the globe. Though these specific awards reflect the hard work we’ve done in this hemisphere, our EU and APAC teams work just as hard to help clients everywhere do more with Tableau. This global perspective is a huge advantage in our opinion, and it’s something we’ll lean on even more in the coming year. To everyone at InterWorks and Tableau who made 2018 legendary, we owe you a huge thanks. Now, let’s buckle up for 2019!
