Garrett has always wanted to do it all. Growing up on the High Plains of Northwest Oklahoma instilled in him a relentless desire to learn new things and see new places. A childhood packed full of sports, games, music and outdoor exploration through Scouting also played a big role in that. It’s no surprise then that when Garrett reached high school, he did everything from marching band and football to drama club and writing competitions. He even fronted a metalcore band with some friends, playing shows across the state.
When the time came for college, friends and scholarships persuaded him to stay in-state and attend Oklahoma State University. There he joined Sigma Phi Epsilon, performed in countless singing/dancing shows, worked a dozen different jobs and met the love of his life. After graduating with a marketing degree and a Spanish minor, Garrett moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where his wife began medical school. It wasn’t long before Garrett found an open position at a growing company called InterWorks.
Starting out as an entry-level specialist, Garrett applied his love of writing to carve out a broader niche in content marketing. Today he is responsible for communicating InterWorks’ values to the world as Content Strategy Manager. When he’s not posting dank memes on the InterWorks Twitter account or helping someone with their next blog, Garrett’s most likely pursuing one of his infinite hobbies. Maybe he’s planning his next trip abroad or studying the Bronze Age. Perhaps he's tearing it up at karaoke or writing his first novel. Whatever it is, it’s something different every day.
