InterWorks Announces InnoTech Oklahoma: Advancing the State’s Technology Industry

//

When people think of where technological innovation takes place, a few obvious locations come to mind like San Francisco, Seattle and Austin. It’s not often that Oklahoma gets thrown into that mix. Over the past few years though, there’s been a stirring within our great state. Granted, most major innovators in the industry still reside in those traditional technology hubs, but Oklahoma has started to take technology as serious as anyone. The proof? InnoTech Oklahoma.

What is InnoTech Oklahoma?

InnoTech Oklahoma has been the state’s premier business and technology conference since its creation eight years ago. The event attracts over 1,200 of the region’s top business and IT professionals each year. It brings together some of the brightest minds in the industry for a day full of hands-on demonstrations, educational sessions and abundant networking opportunities.

The conference features providers and vendors from every facet of the IT world including enterprise storage, backup, virtualization, VOIP phone systems, wireless networking and security. Not only that, the exploding field of business intelligence is well represented by Oklahoma’s resident expert on the matter, InterWorks.

What Makes InnoTech Oklahoma Special?

InnoTech is much more than your average tech conference. It serves a unique and important primary purpose: advancing technology in Oklahoma. The event’s presenting sponsor, InterWorks, shares that same vision and sense of purpose, which is why they’ve been the presenting sponsor for the past six years.

“After producing technology events in many different cities, it is obvious that Oklahomans take technology advancement seriously and feel proud of the work being completed here,” said Sean Lowery, Director of InnoTech Oklahoma.

Each year InterWorks and InnoTech seek to leave the information technology industry in Oklahoma a much better place than it was before. So far, it seems they’ve been pretty successful in their efforts. As InnoTech continues to grow though, an important question remains to be answered.

Why Technology?

People often adopt a very narrow view of information technology and its applications. They think their business or industry has done fine for decades without it, so why go to the trouble now? The answer is simple: those who are better equipped, often do better business. Information technology is unique in its ability to drastically improve the efforts, operations and organization of ANY business or industry. It’s the one thing that if applied strategically and intelligently, can bring us all into a better state. That fact alone makes IT a wise investment.

When, Where and How to Register
