Flying with InterWorks Europe

Have you ever wondered what data analysts do in their free time? Obviously, we are tweaking data and exploring the beta version of Tableau Server! Other than that, InterWorkers are just ordinary people with many different hobbies.

For instance, if you’re interested in finding the best recipe for homemade bread, David Pires is your go-to chef. If you’re training for a triathlon, ask Debbie Yu, Kate Treadwell, Jon Boulter or Sam Ellis for some tips on how to get in shape. Our list of hobbies is endless. From cycling, hiking, windsurfing or acroyoga, you name it and we’ll find an InterWorker who does it!

This time, our Senior Consultant Paul Vincent took us for the plane ride of a lifetime in the Netherlands. In his free time, Paul teaches people how to operate gliders, also called sailplanes. It was a beautiful sunny day and an unforgettable experience! I definitely recommend trying it! We even created a short video about it above.

Fun fact: The minimum age for a solo glider flight in the UK is 14! You can fly even before you can drive.
