It’s been a busy few days for the Power Tools for Tableau team and the Tableau community as a whole. Our developers have worked their tails off to finish the first of many incredible Power Tools for Tableau – the Workbook SDK.
After months of beta testing, debugging and tweaking, the Power Tools team released their baby to the world today. We received great reviews from Workbook SDK Beta users, and we anticipate that the full version will turn even more heads in all its glory.
What Is Workbook SDK for Tableau?
The Workbook Software Development Kit (SDK) for Tableau gives users batch, automated and programmatic access to Tableau. In layman’s terms, it allows users near-unlimited control of Tableau workbooks.
You can learn more about the full-version of Workbook SDK by viewing the official release announcement on the Power Tools for Tableau site.
Lead Developer, Joshua Poehls also shares some reflections on what it was like to build such a powerful Tableau tool along with what’s next for Power Tools.
