We’re a bit delayed in announcing this, but we’re excited to share that InterWorks made the 2019 Inc. 5000 list! For those who are unfamiliar, the Inc. 5000 is a list of the fastest growing, privately held companies in the United States. This year will be the eleventh time InterWorks has received such an honor, which is a pretty uncommon feat.

A Word on Sustainable Growth

Most businesses view growth as a positive thing, even going so far as to make it a goal, but we personally think that order of operations is out of whack. Could a business scale their operations out, hire a ton of new people and do well for a time? Absolutely. In fact, this happens all the time. Unfortunately, this type of growth is either unsustainable or comes at the cost of compromising core values. Those are two things we’ve never been on board with.

So, how would we define our approach? Well, it all starts by focusing on the quality of our people, not the quantity. By building a team of all-stars who align with our values, we’ve found we’re able to do big things without the usual army of consultants you might find elsewhere. Our methodology doesn’t stop there. Hiring good people isn’t a guarantee for success, so we also focus the talents of our people on providing the absolute best level of service for our clients. It sounds laughably simple, but that really is the InterWorks playbook in a nutshell. By taking care of our people and our clients, we’ve found a path for sustainable growth. It’s something we’re immensely proud of.
