Coming right on the heels of our Inc. 5000 award comes ANOTHER growth-related accolade: our placement on CRN’s 2016 Fast Growth 150The Fast Growth 150 lists the fastest-growing solution providers in North America, and we found out that we are the only company in North America to achieve this honor consecutively for that past six years! You read that right – the one, the only! That’s huge, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have earned such a distinction.

Growth as a Solution Provider

You’ve heard us talk about our growth in broad terms, but what does growth look like specifically for a technology solution provider vs. any other business? It’s true that solution providers operate a little differently than, say, an energy company or your local dentist. As such, our path to growth looks different.

Perhaps the most important distinction between a solutions provider and other business models is that our success is contingent upon our clients’ success. Our objective is to deliver solutions that provide them with value; if those solutions don’t achieve that end, we’re not successful.

That’s not to say that some solution providers don’t simply pawn off less than ideal solutions to their clients just to make a quick buck, because they are out there. But we’ve found that this transactional mentality can only keep a company growing temporarily. It’s only a matter of time before those clients catch on and that solution provider’s reputation is forever tarnished.

That’s just not us.

Instead, what separates the truly successful solution providers that can sustain growth from those that can’t is the ability to listen and anticipate what their clients really need. This requires a strong relationship with clients, relationships that we strive for at InterWorks. This also requires us to be adept at identifying new technologies and trends ahead of the curve. Seizing the right opportunities, such as strategic partnerships with like-minded vendors, can go a long way in ensuring that the solutions provided to our clients are hitting home.

In short, by treating our clients like close friends and pursuing the right opportunities for growth (as opposed to any opportunity for growth), we’ve been able to sustain success. The proof is reflected in honors such as these.
