If you’re attending our upcoming Transform Tableau with Machine Learning workshop, I’ve outlined the following instructions for you to check out before we get started. The interactive workshop is going to walk you through the process of deploying a SageMaker Model Endpoint trained using SageMaker Autopilot, deploying the Amazon SageMaker for Tableau Quick Start, and connecting to the Machine Learning model in Amazon SageMaker from Tableau Desktop.
If you plan to follow along in the lab, we recommend downloading the following resources ahead of time and ensuring you have proper access in your AWS and Tableau environments.
The workshop is broken out into the following sections:
Amazon SageMaker
Tableau
- Access to a licensed copy of Tableau Desktop
(here’s a link to a free trial if you don’t already have one) - Here’s access to the data source we’ll be using
Amazon SageMaker for Tableau
- A domain registered with Amazon Route53
- Access to the Amazon Certificate Manager Console in AWS
- Access to the CloudFormation Console in AWS
If you are unable to gather the prerequisites, don’t worry. We plan to offer a public demo for the Tableau portion of the workshop, so you can still gain experience building machine-learning-powered dashboards.
