What is Color Tool for Tableau?
Color Tool for Tableau is free web tool that lets you create custom color palettes for Tableau without the hassle. Choosing custom colors isn’t particularly difficult for one worksheet, but what happens when you need to apply the same colors to numerous worksheets? Previously, you had two options:
- Manually select the same colors for each individual worksheet.
- Create a custom color palette using code and several different tools.
Honestly, both of those options seemed like too much work. So, the Power Tools team decided to create one tool that takes care of everything for you. All you have to do is go in and select the colors you want included in your palette. Color Tool will put it all together and generate the XML code for you. Easy, right? It gets easier.
With Color Tool, you can color match from an image or you can even have the tool auto-generate complimentary colors to go with one color of your choice. That’s just the start.
