NVIDIA is always pushing the limit of what their video cards can do. However, they have now started to use the AI abilities they developed for the GPU line for audio! They beta released an RTX Audio driver that uses AI to eliminate any background noise around the microphone. I assume NVIDIA originally planned for this to be geared towards gamers and streamers; however, because of the times we are in, we have found that it can be utilized by anyone.
Enhance Your Audio Experience with NVIDIA
With much more people working from home, we have all heard kids, dogs, wind, etc. on any number of Zoom meetings and Skype calls. This audio driver can eliminate all that noise while still allowing you to hear the person talking clearly. I went so far as to test it myself and shared the results of the driver’s effectiveness in this YouTube video:
Although this is still very much in beta, InterWorks is hopeful that this will help everyone sound clearer and be better understood with the help of NVIDIA. If you’re interested in setting this up and trying it out for yourself, here is the official documentation. Tip: This has been tested to work with some NVIDIA GTX cards as well with a quick setup file modification. There’s a post on the forum at guru3d.
Hopefully, this makes working remote a bit easier. Remember to reach out if we can help in any way. Best of luck!
