News from Dell – New generation of servers to be available soon.

Dell™ PowerEdge™ R910 Rack Server – Features Intel Xeon 7500 series processors providing high performance and reliability in a scalable 4U, four-socket server.  Allows large workload consolidation and maximum virtualization machine density. Provides downtime avoidance and high efficiency.

R910 Customer Benefits:  Simple to deploy, manage and maintain saving time and resources, including a 43% faster OS deployment than HP. With Intel® Advanced RAS (Reliability, Availability, Serviceability) Technology, internal dual SD module for hypervisor redundancy including design and component quality paired with Dell LifeCycle Controller, technicians avoid having to load diagnostics from other media, helping save valuable time and minimize downtime.

Dell PowerEdge R810 Rack Server – Designed to provide leading price for performance integrating purposeful scalable design with excellent reliability and commonality. The R810 is a 2-socket 2U server scalable to 4-socket with large memory capacity for cost-effective memory scaling and performance density.

R810 Customer Benefits:  The R810 is a 4S-capable server in a 2U form factor with large memory capacity for cost-effective memory scaling and performance density. The R810 incorporates FlexMem Bridge technology, allowing two Intel® Xeon® 7500 or 6500 Series Processors access to all 32 Memory DIMM Slots delivering more memory resources for better application performance.

Dell PowerEdge M910 Blade Server – Dell’s first Intel® powered 4-socket blade server. The M910 provides significant levels of performance and reliability in a scalable, full-height, 4-socket blade.

M910 Customer Benefits:  The PowerEdge M910 provides significant performance and reliability in a scalable, full-height, four-socket blade server.  Features include new high-performance Intel Xeon 7500 Series processors, 512GB of memory capacity and FlexMem Bridge technology allowing 4GB to 512GB in either 2 or 4 socket configurations without having to rip and replace.

Two-socket Dell PowerEdge Server Line – Newly refreshed including two blade servers (M710, M610), four rack servers (R710, R610, R510, R410) and three tower servers (T710, T610, T410).  These new Dell PowerEdge servers include Intel Xeon 5600 series processor technology.

Customer Benefits: Customers can expect system performance increases of up to 69 percent over Dell’s similarly configured previous servers (with Intel Xeon 5500 processor technology) and up to 47 percent greater per-watt efficiency.   Customers can run more loads faster on Dell PowerEdge servers with Intel 5600 series processors, embedded hypervisors and balanced memory architectures.  If your customer liked the Intel 5500 series, then they will love the 5600 performance gains!
