What the 2013 Tableau Customer Conference Means to InterWorks

//

We’re less than a month away from the biggest Tableau event of the year: TCC13. If you’ve attended TCC in the past, especially last year, you understand just how huge this event is in the data visualization world. TCC sets the stage for how people will be using Tableau for the entire following year. Moreover, it’s the biggest and best opportunity for the Tableau community to share ideas, network and discover countless new ways that people are using Tableau.

Since Tableau consulting and training are a giant part of what InterWorks does, you can imagine that TCC is easily one of the biggest events on our calendar each year. We’d like to share some of our favorite parts of TCC and what it means to us as a Tableau Gold Partner.

Sharing What We Know About Tableau

With the largest Tableau services team in the world, Tableau is at the forefront of our business. We’ve been lucky enough to work with a wide variety of clients from virtually every industry, giving us considerable experience. You can imagine that with such a wealth of Tableau knowledge, we have quite a bit to share. TCC is the perfect place to share not only what we’ve learned, but also what all our customers have learned.

Making New Connections

One of our favorite parts of TCC is seeing so many new faces each year. The sheer amount of new Tableau users at every conference never ceases to amaze us. Ask anyone who has been to TCC and they’ll tell you that each year seems to outdo the last. TCC12 saw more attendees than ever, and thanks to Tableau’s explosive growth since then, you can expect TCC13 to be filled with more new faces than ever before.

Taking the Stage at TCC with Clients like Facebook

We love seeing clients and friends use Tableau so successfully that they get asked to share their discoveries at TCC. Last year was a perfect example of that when Facebook took the stage and asked InterWorks to join them.

Presenting in front of hundreds of conference attendees is pretty solid gratification that we’re helping clients get the most out of Tableau.

Seeing the Entire InterWorks Business Intelligence Team

InterWorks consultants are spread throughout a number of different locales across the US and the world. Even though we work with each other on a day-to-day basis, TCC13 is one of the few opportunities for the entire Business Intelligence Team to come together. Naturally, when the team is assembled, it can make for some brilliant moments. Having the whole team together allows us to be at our best. Plus, it just downright fun. The collective knowledge of InterWorks’ BI Team allows us tackle pretty much anything that TCC attendees may throw our way.

What to Expect at TCC13

Like every year, TCC13 will feature excellent keynote speeches from influential leaders in data, educational breakout sessions and the usual legendary after parties. All in all, you can expect a pretty enlightening experience that will have you itching to dig into your data with Tableau. Aside from amping up the usual conference staples, it’s safe to bet that Tableau will have some sort of exciting news or announcements. Considering their explosive year so far in releasing Tableau Online, partnering with DataSift and Google BigQuery and becoming a publicly traded company, you can expect more big things to be revealed at TCC13. What are those things? Your guess is as good as ours. If you plan on attending the conference, we’ll have to find out together.
