SQLSaturday is rolling around again for those in the Houston area. This event is the best opportunity to connect with the SQL Server community. Both experts and beginners alike are welcome to attend!

Admittance to the event is free, but there is a $10 lunch fee for those wishing to grab a bite at the event.


InterWorks’ very own SQL Server expert, Tim Costello will share two different presentations:

Window Functions in SQL Server 2012

Window functions are one of the coolest new things in SQL Server 2012, but they can be tricky to figure out. In this session, Tim will talk about how windows functions work and why you should start using them. This is going to be a demo-heavy session with code samples you can take back to start using Monday morning!

Pro Tips: Tuning the Data Flow in SSIS

It’s not too hard to build a data flow in SSIS quickly. Building a FAST data flow can be a little tricky. In this session, Tim shows you the things you should be thinking about when designing your data flow as well as some tricks that can help you move your data faster. This will be another demo-heavy session with even more code samples for you to take home.
