If you’re keeping tabs on the latest and greatest communication and collaboration tools, you’ve no doubt heard of Slack. It’s everything IM should be and so much more. With near unlimited customization and integrations, Slack works fantastically in pretty much any environment for a wide variety of uses. It’s made fans of companies like FiveThirtyEight, The New York Times, Vox Media and, you guessed it, InterWorks. But it’s not limited to only companies. There are entire communities on Slack for things like design, WordPress, gaming and more.

I could go on for days about how much we love it here, but it’s best to get to the point!

We’re happy to announce that we’ve created a public Slack exclusively for Tableau users! It’s been aptly dubbed “Tableau Users,” and it comes just in time for the biggest Tableau event of the year: TC15.

What Will You Find There?

The Tableau Users Slack is the perfect place to stay up to date on all the TC15 happenings. As a live messenger (which works beautifully on mobile), it’s the perfect tool to coordinate with other members of the Tableau community while at the conference. In fact, it’s being hailed as the future of conference communication. There are also channels there for Tableau help and more! Plus, it’s just fun to use. The InterWorks team will be active in the channel, so it’s definitely the best way to keep in touch with us. That said, there will be members from all over the Tableau Community there, not just us.

After TC15

Just because TC15 ends, doesn’t mean the Tableau Users channel does. After the conference is over, we plan to keep the Tableau Users channel up and running as a new line of communication for Tableau users. Think of it as an extension of the Tableau Community. As for InterWorks, we plan on sharing useful Tableau tips and tricks there for a long time to come.
