Day 3 of VMworld was content-rich with a variety of sessions that provided further detail on the announcements made throughout the week. Today, we’ll highlight a few of the key messages related to Workspace ONE, VMware’s digital workspace platform:
- Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub is currently in beta and will be generally available by the end of 2018. This solution combines the full range control of Airwatch Agent for IT with the end user experience of Workspace ONE. It provides end users with a single app where they can access corporate resources from any device.
- Workspace ONE Intelligence is a service that provides real-time analytics and insights into the digital workspace, with rich dashboards and customizable reporting. Through powerful automation, Workspace ONE Intelligence improves end-user experience, optimizes resources and enhances security.
- Dell announced a new service called “Dell Provisioning for VMware Workspace ONE,” which provides customers with the ability to ship devices pre-configured in the Dell factory with custom settings, policies and apps that the organization has defined. This eliminates the time IT traditionally spends configuring new devices for end users and allows for an out-of-the-box experience that is immediately productive and secure.
- Workspace ONE AirLift was announced as generally available. AirLift is a connector to Microsoft SCCM that allows for faster and easier migrations to Windows 10.
