The decline of a large enterprise is often the result of numerous small issues compounding over time. However, there is a tendency to focus on less relevant aspects and overlook the single most crucial element: the customers.
This case study, presented in the form of a Tableau dashboard, offers a retrospective analysis of the factors that led to the decline of BYJU’S, once hailed as India’s foremost ed-tech platform. The study provides a unique perspective by focusing on the viewpoints of students and their perception of online learning during the COVID-19 lockdown. Drawing upon survey data collected between November 2020 and March 2021, this analysis scrutinizes the factors that contributed to BYJU’S descent from its zenith in 2022 to its near-bankrupt state by late 2023.
