However, Tableau is also known for its ability to reflect the latest data in those visuals. Your data is constantly growing and changing. Until recently, those thumbnails would quickly stagnate. You would have to go into each dashboard and refresh them manually. This can be quite the task as your dashboards keep increasing.

Introducing Dashboard Thumbnail Refreshes

At InterWorks, we know that your time is valuable. One of our newest features allows you to refresh your thumbnails nightly. No more will you have to manually click a button to update your thumbnail; that is, unless you want to. Let our newest feature take care of this so that way you can get back to more important tasks.

To turn on this wonderful feature, just log in to the backend of your portal, navigate to Settings > Portal Settings > Features. In the Functionality section turn on the switch to Refresh Dashboard Thumbnails, click save and worry no more.
