Tips from the Techy, volume 5ish

//

Greeting bloggees,

You ever been sitting at your XP computer, accidently fat-fingered something on your keyboard while typing at demon-speed, locked it up a little because you’re doing too much for your processor to handle, and then tried to press CTRL + ALT + DELETE to open the Task Manager to end the madness but notice that your display is now upside-down.  If you’re chuckling to yourself right now, it is because this HAS happened to you before.

Unfortunately most of us aren’t adept in reading upside down, so this new view becomes very cumbersome very quickly.

Here’s the fix:

Press CTRL + ALT + UP (or Down) Arrow.

The reason this happens is because certain Windows XP video drivers and graphic chipsets support 180 degree screen rotation.  I speculate that your fingers are a big as mine and you probably just missed the Delete key and got the arrows instead.  So unless your monitor can rotate 180 degrees, this should be the fix for you.

Until next time, happy surfing!!
