Fresh Windows 8 Pro OEM install failing due to “Missing Drivers…”

//

When freshly installing Windows 8 pro OEM on a wiped laptop, I received an error message:

“A media driver your computer needs is missing.  This could be a DVD, USB, or Hard Disk driver. . . .”

I found it was not even a driver issue, at least this time.

1. Boot to BIOS setup.

2. Locate System Configuration/SATA Operation

3. Change option to AHCI

4. Apply and exit.

Hope this works for you!
