Initially a student of biotechnology in Berlin, Leopold always knew deep down that his place was in software and computers. A German-American from a bicultural household raised in Berlin, he sought to broaden his horizons overseas in Los Angeles where he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Occidental College.
Leopold’s great curiosity, sense of diplomacy and determination to learn drive him in all he does. His combination of professional and academic experience, paired with a burning passion for computers, gives him a solid foundation to tackle new technical challenges. Drawing from his background in software and data, he now develops innovative solutions as a Platforms Engineer at InterWorks, a role that allows him to scratch the perpetual itch to connect and learn new things.
If he’s not in the office, he’s likely tinkering with personal passion projects in machine learning or the latest in code. Leopold also values spending time with his wife, exploring new hobbies together and watching movies. A longtime soccer player himself, he is also a big-time fitness and soccer enthusiast. From an early age, he’d teach himself new soccer skills and tricks for hours on end, seeking to up his game – a persistence that shows in his work across the board.
