If you work in data you know that successful analytics comes from weaving together lots of skills: asking the right questions, understanding needs, visual best practice, wrangling data in to the right shape, technical skills with Tableau. There’s a lot to learn!
Recognising that challenge for the community, InterWorks is delighted to announce its fresh new contribution to the data community with our new D+I+Y events series. Each of this series of events will focus on some different aspect of what helps people deliver amazing analytics. We’ll be bringing in speakers and success stories from the community, from vendors and from our own consultants to share their experiences (good and bad!) in all things data.
Each D+I+Y event will be slightly different and an opportunity to learn best practices, tips and tricks , new technologies as well as hearing inspiring stories from some of the best in the data community that can help you on your journey to delivering successful analytics for your team and your organisation.
Our inaugural D+I+Y is taking place in London on the 8th August. Here’s what we have lined up for the first event:
David Solomons, Director of Business Information at Family Mosaic, will be walking us through his data journey, the highs and the lows and ultimately the way Tableau has revolutionised the business. Like a lot of companies with vast and disparate sources of data, Family Mosaic recognised the need to unlock the potential of their data for insight. David was wowed by Tableau from the offset and he is excited to share with you the framework of how as Family Mosaic grows the Tableau framework is there to support it.
David Pires (did we mention he just won Europe’s first Iron Viz 2017?) will be running a tips and tricks session for beginners through to the more advanced Tableau users.
Do you have a challenge you’d like a little help with? Bring along any questions you have and book a free 1 to 1 support session with one of our InterWorks Assist consultants who will be there at every one of these D+I+Y events.
Afterwards, it’s time to meet up for a little networking with your fellow data enthusiasts for pizza and drinks, what’s an event without food…….?
We’ll always want to make sure that these events are relevant and something you look forward to, so don’t be shy about coming forward with content or themes you’d like to see in the future.
