Dan will review current trends in data science, big data and business information from 1980 to today—providing context for the advent of self-service visual analytics. He will also also explain and demonstrate how Tableau can be used to prepare data using Tableau’s new Data Interpreter, blend disparate data sources and use ad hoc calculations to make new insights.
You will also learn how to use Tableau for forecasting, doing correlation analysis, creating parameterized visualizations and best practices for creating dashboards that enable information consumers to make discoveries. Best practice recommendations for scaling to large data sets will also be reviewed.
Finally, Dan will demonstrate how you can utilized open source tools like Python and R with Tableau and to operationalize more sophisticated forecasts and publish the results to cloud services.
