Originally from Lisbon, Portugal, David has been in the UK for over a decade. Having worked for Barclays Bank in their mortgage department, David became a certified mortgage advisor just as the 2008 financial crisis hit, which meant a change in direction, leading him to CACI where he succeeded as an analyst. Later, he was responsible for the Tableau deployment of an external service to the majority of banks and building-societies in the UK.
A lover of languages, David graduated in Spanish and Japanese at the Birkbeck College of London. A self-confessed Japan geek who also loves travelling, he may or may not have created a two-week Japan itinerary in Tableau.
When he's not traveling or working, David finds the kitchen a therapeutic space where he likes to try new recipes. He enjoys cooking and bread baking in particular; there’s something magic about transforming flour, yeast and water into a lovely loaf of bread. Though not as active as he should be, David likes to run and cycle to burn off all that bread.
